Insurance Regulatory Authority of Uganda(IRA) has begun construction of USH 28 billion that will serve as its headquarters.
The project located along Lumumba Avenue in Kampala is an 11-storey structure being constructed by Ugandan contractor-Roko Construction. The Insurance Tower as it is being called will be completed in September 2019.
IRA chief executive, Kaddunabi Lubega said that the project was mooted in 2000.
“Seventeen years later, the dream has come to a reality. I am very optimistic that with better working environment, the IRA great team will even work much better to serve Ugandans,” he said.
