The ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Expo (ASEE) 2027 will bring together energy technology manufacturers, investors, policymakers and industry professionals from more than 80 countries and regions when it returns to Bangkok, Thailand, from March 17–19, 2027.
The event, which is positioning itself as a leading platform for smart energy and energy storage in Southeast Asia, will take place at the IMPACT Exhibition Center under the guidance of the ASEAN Centre for Energy and Thailand’s Ministry of Energy.
The exhibition is co-organised with several leading Thai institutions, including the Council of Engineers (Thailand), Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT) and Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB).
Its international reach is further reinforced by support from more than 100 industry associations worldwide.
These include the Global Solar Council, American Solar Energy Society, Philippine Energy Research and Policy Institute, Middle East Solar Industry Association, Global Waste Cleaning Network, Sustainable Energy Association of Singapore and Energy Storage Association UK.
Global Energy Companies to Showcase Technologies
ASEE 2027 is expected to attract participants ranging from emerging technology startups to established international energy companies, providing a platform for market expansion, investment collaboration, strategic partnerships and technology exchange.
Among the companies expected to participate are B.Grimm Power, LONGi, Deye, GoodWe, AMR ASIA, Gunkul Engineering, Growatt, Sharp Solar, Lvtopsun New Energy, Sungrow, QTC ESS, Flender GmbH, AE Solar, Demco, Super Energy Corporation, Leonics, Kansai Energy Solution, Zonergy, EcoFlow, Felicity Solar, TMDA Electric, Heliotech and Ubetter.
The exhibition will cover five key areas of the energy industry: solar photovoltaic (PV) technology, battery and energy storage systems (BESS), smart grids and digital energy, electric mobility and EV charging infrastructure, as well as integrated and renewable energy solutions.
New Business and Networking Opportunities
The 2027 edition will introduce several initiatives designed to strengthen business engagement and encourage collaboration between exhibitors, buyers and industry stakeholders.
A key addition is the Hosted Buyer Matchmaking Zone, which will connect exhibitors with pre-qualified VIP buyers through scheduled one-to-one business meetings. The initiative is intended to facilitate direct engagement between technology suppliers and potential commercial partners.
The programme will also feature expert presentations and high-level panel discussions, bringing together international experts, investors and policymakers to examine energy storage developments, emerging trends and market prospects.
Other activities include Speed Networking and Meet the Innovator sessions, designed to accelerate business connections and collaboration, alongside an after-party networking event.
An Energy Storage Awards and Recognition Corner will also recognise innovation and excellence across the industry.
ASEAN Energy Storage Summit Opens Call for Speakers
Alongside the exhibition, the ASEAN Smart Energy & Energy Storage Summit (ASEAN ESSES 2027) will convene policymakers, industry leaders, innovators and investors to discuss developments shaping the energy sector.
The summit will focus on five major themes: energy storage trends, artificial intelligence and energy integration, smart grids and digital energy, integrated renewable energy and storage solutions, and real-world industry case studies.
Organisers are also inviting industry experts and relevant stakeholders to contribute as speakers, providing an opportunity to share technical knowledge, market insights and practical experience with an international audience.
Opportunities for International Exhibitors
ASEE 2027 is positioning itself as a gateway for companies seeking to expand their presence in ASEAN energy markets.
Exhibitors will have opportunities to connect with prospective buyers, establish local partnerships, strengthen their brand positioning and generate new business opportunities.
With participation from international industry associations and companies across the energy value chain, the event aims to facilitate cooperation and accelerate the exchange of technologies and expertise in the smart energy and energy storage sectors.
