Costco has announced an immediate recall of two popular Caesar salad products after discovering small plastic pieces in the dressing packets, posing a potential choking hazard to consumers.
The recall affects the Kirkland Signature Chicken Caesar Salad and select Caesar Salad with Dressing Kits, sold in multiple Costco locations. The contamination was traced back to a supplier responsible for producing the dressing portion included with the salads.
Costco is urging customers who purchased the affected products to stop consuming them right away. Shoppers can return the items to any Costco warehouse for a full refund, with no receipt required.
So far, no injuries have been reported, but the company says the recall was issued out of “an abundance of caution” to protect consumers.
Customers seeking more information can contact Costco’s customer service or check the recall notice published on the retailer’s website.
