Technology firm Huawei is finalizing the construction of a major warehouse in South Africa which it says will boost the company’s long-term plan for the country.
The warehouse, the company says, would see improved customer satisfaction as well as meet the ever-increasing demand for Huawei devices in South Africa.
Currently, it takes Huawei around three weeks to deliver our stock from China to South African retail stores.
“We have seen continued growth in the country, with our smartphone market share now reaching almost 10%,” said Likun Zhao, Vice President of Huawei Consumer Business Group Southern Africa.
The new warehouse will be located in the free trade zone of OR Tambo International Airport.
