The Construction Industry Council has announced that the Construction Innovation Expo 2025 (CIExpo), which was originally scheduled to take place from 11–13 December 2025 in Hong Kong, will be postponed to 2026.
According to the Council, the decision comes in the wake of the No. 5 alarm fire in Tai Po — one of the city’s most serious recent incidents.
In its statement, the Council expressed its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathy to the victims and the families affected by the tragedy, noting that the organisation stands with the community during this difficult time.
The postponement reflects the Council’s commitment to prioritising community well-being and supporting recovery efforts as Hong Kong navigates the aftermath of the devastating fire.
Updated dates and further arrangements for CIExpo 2026 will be announced once planning resumes.
