Titan International has expanded its forestry tyre portfolio with the launch of the Titan ForestEDGE™, a new tyre line developed for machinery operating in some of the most demanding off-road environments.
Designed for skidders, feller bunchers and other forestry equipment, ForestEDGE is aimed at operators who need dependable traction and protection while keeping control of equipment operating costs.
The launch is particularly relevant to the wider off-road equipment sector, where tyres are often exposed to rocks, stumps, debris and uneven terrain that can quickly increase downtime and maintenance costs.
ENGINEERED FOR DEMANDING TERRAIN
Forestry operations place unusual demands on tyres. Machines frequently work away from prepared roads and encounter sharp debris, rough ground and changing terrain conditions.
Titan says the ForestEDGE line has been engineered around these challenges, combining traction, stability and protection with a focus on value.
At the heart of the design is a heavy-duty steel-belt package intended to provide additional resistance against rocks, stumps and other debris encountered during forestry operations.
The tyre also uses a robust rubber compound designed to support consistent wear and longer service life.
For equipment operators, the objective is straightforward: maintain machine productivity while reducing the frequency and cost of tyre-related interruptions.
“Forestry environments are often extreme,” said Matt Werstein, Product & Engineering R&D Manager for OTR at Titan.
“With the Titan ForestEDGE, we set out to provide a tire that not only stands up to some of the worst conditions but also helps boost productivity and lower total operating costs.”
According to Titan, the tyre underwent extensive field testing before its launch, with the company positioning ForestEDGE as a practical solution for loggers, timber operators and equipment owners looking for a combination of durability and affordability.
A FOCUS ON TOTAL OPERATING COSTS
For heavy equipment operating in remote or difficult terrain, tyre performance can have consequences beyond the tyre itself.
A damaged tyre can take a machine out of operation, potentially affecting production schedules and increasing service and replacement costs.
Titan has therefore positioned ForestEDGE around what it describes as a balance between field-validated performance and value.
The company says its forestry expertise, engineering experience and real-world testing have been used to develop the new line, while its dealer network provides access to the tyres and associated support.
Andrew Hogan, Director of Pricing and Product Strategy at Titan, said the company worked with customers and dealers to identify areas where existing solutions were falling short.
“The ForestEDGE is the result: a tire line that’s tough, dependable, and built around the realities of modern forestry work,” Hogan said.
DESIGNED FOR FORESTRY MACHINERY
The ForestEDGE is specifically targeted at machinery such as skidders and feller bunchers, where tyre performance is closely linked to machine mobility and productivity.
These machines operate in environments where maintaining traction and stability can be critical, particularly when working across uneven or debris-covered ground.
Rather than positioning ForestEDGE simply as another addition to the OTR tyre market, Titan is targeting a specific operational challenge: providing forestry operators with a tyre solution capable of handling severe conditions without moving entirely into premium-cost territory.

The Titan ForestEDGE line is initially available through Titan’s authorised dealer network in:
• 30.5L-32
• DH35.5L-32
The 24.5-32 size is available for pre-orders, with anticipated delivery in Q3 2026.
The launch adds another option for forestry fleets and equipment owners looking to balance tyre durability, machine uptime and operating expenditure.

ForestEDGE illustrates an important trend in off-road equipment: tyre technology is increasingly being developed around the specific working environment of the machine.
