German firm Karcher eyes East African market

German-manufacturing firm, Karcher will run its East African affairs from Nairobi following the opening of its Karcher Centre which will also serve Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and extended EAC bloc.

Karcher, a global brand known for its high-pressure cleaners, floor care equipment, parts cleaning systems, wash water treatment, military decontamination equipment and window vacuum cleaners has picked Equipment & Logistics Company limited to distribute its products in the target markets.

The firm announced during the opening of its office in Upper Hill, that the move ensure that there is adequate stocks for all the 10 Target Groups at any given time to satisfy then customer’s needs, with the Center also offering after sale services, spare parts for its equipment.

“This is great move by Karcher as a brand, since its products are widely used in these markets. The Center will also act as a training ground with well-trained technicians,” said joint Managing Director of Equipment and Logistics Company limited, Mr. Shaffique Abdalla.

He added, “the opening of Karcher Center will also boost the brand’s presence in the region.”

Kärcher is a global brand provider of cleaning technology. In 2017 the family company achieved the highest turnover in its history of EUR 2.5 billion.

With high pressure cleaner and ultra-high pressure cleaners, vacuum and steam cleaners, pumps for the home and garden, sweepers and scrubber-driers, car washes, cleaning products, dry ice shot-blast machines, drinking and waste water treatment plants, water dispensers and electronic data transmission based fleet management, Kärcher offers innovative solutions to problems.
