Organisers behind East Africa’s leading exhibition for the security, fire and safety industry have today announced that the 2020 edition of Securexpo East Africa, along with its co-located Firexpo and K-OSH will be rescheduled to 2021 following the ongoing global impact of COVID-19.

Montgomery East Africa’s Portfolio Director, Angela Kinyua spoke about the event’s rescheduling.

“It is with a heavy heart that we regretfully have decided to reschedule this year’s edition of Securexpo East Africa. Following numerous conversations between team leaders, local associations, and government representatives we felt that given the ongoing and unpredictable nature of the COVID-19 pandemic, it would be in the best interest of both our visitors and participants to reschedule. The health and safety of our community is our top priority and in order to safeguard that.”

“We feel that given the circumstances, rescheduling the event will benefit everyone, it will allow the global economy to regain some stability, for any international visitors and exhibitors to regain the confidence to travel and it will give time for the industry and our community to adjust to our ‘new normal’.”
