Henry Tanui Named New Hustler Fund CEO

EVENTS SPOTLIGHT

The Financial Inclusion Fund, commonly known as the Hustler Fund, has appointed Henry Tanui as its new Chief Executive Officer on a renewable three-year term.

The handover ceremony took place at the KIBT Building in Nairobi on Wednesday, with Cooperatives and MSME Development Cabinet Secretary Wycliffe Oparanya presiding over the transition.

Tanui brings over 24 years of experience in financial services to his new role, taking over from Elizabeth Nkukuu, who has led the Fund since its establishment. The Board expressed appreciation for Nkukuu’s leadership in steering the Fund from its inception.

The appointment comes as the Hustler Fund continues to play a crucial role in providing financial inclusion services to micro, small, and medium enterprises across Kenya.

The new CEO is expected to build on the foundation laid by his predecessor while driving forward the Fund’s mission to enhance financial accessibility for underserved communities.

Further details about Tanui’s strategic vision for the Fund are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.
