Real estate firm mulls tallest residential building in Africa

The residential project dubbed 88 Nairobi Condominium will feature 44 floors with top notch apartments.

International real estate development and investment firm Lordship Africa has unveiled a Sh5 billion residential apartment project in Nairobi’s Upper Hill district. Construction of the project will begin in April.

Upon completion, the residential project dubbed 88 Nairobi Condominium which broke ground yesterday, will be the tallest private residential building in sub-Saharan Africa.

The artistic impression of the project shows that the project will have 44-floor with top notch, dedicated residential condominiums designed to five-star hotel standards.

The 88 Nairobi Condominium will also feature one- and two-bedroom fully furnished executive units, two-bedroom VIP units, four-bedroom duplexes and penthouse apartments.

Prices for the apartments will start from Sh11 million to Sh30 million off-plan.

Jonathan Jackson, founder of Lordship Africa and Lordship Europe observes that the residential project will be a major boost for VIPs who work in Upper Hill allowing them to drive or walk to and from work easily.

The project will be financed through equity, debts and sales of spaces.

Based in Czech Republic, Lordship Africa, a  private equity real estate developer has a development portfolio of over 6 million sqft of property according to their website.
