Two Nairobi building developments were honoured at the International Property Awards, held at the London Marriott Hotel Grosvenor Square Hotel on June 12, 2019.
The Address, a commercial building Located along Waiyaki Way, received “Best Commercial High Rise Architecture” and The Marquis, a luxury apartment building in Kileleshwa, was the award winner in the “Residential High Rise Architecture” category, with both buildings having competed against similar projects across Dubai, Africa and Arabia.
Jatinder Thethy, Founder and Principal Architect at Innovative Planning and Design Consultants (IPDC), the Nairobi, based architectural practice responsible for both building designs and Chetan Hayer, from the Hayer One Group, their developer, were in London to receive the awards at a glittering award gala.

On receiving the awards, Thethy and Hayer thanked the award organisers and its panel of judges for the recognition, with Thethy stating that they “help promote design excellence and sustainability in architecture and the built environment, across Africa”.
The Dubai, Africa and Arabia Property Awards are the largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme throughout the regions.
The awards are judged by an independent panel of over 80 industry experts, that is chaired by members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament.
Judging focuses on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability.
