Bengaluru, December 2025 – Galaxy, the global construction and earthmoving tyre manufacturer, launched two new all-steel radial tyres at CII Excon 2025, targeting India’s growing heavy equipment sector as the company marks over a century in the industry.
The LDSR 500 and RTSR 300 models headline Galaxy’s product showcase at Hall 5, Stand B34, where the Yokohama-ATG subsidiary is displaying its portfolio to OEMs and construction professionals through December 13.
New Product Specifications
The LDSR 500 features a non-directional tread pattern and reinforced steel construction for wheel loaders and dozers operating in demanding conditions. Galaxy engineers designed the tyre with extra tread depth to extend service life and improve stability under heavy loads.
The RTSR 300 addresses requirements for rigid dump trucks hauling materials across mixed terrain. Its open shoulder design facilitates debris ejection while maintaining traction.
Galaxy offers the model in multiple compound formulations tailored to specific surface conditions and operational demands.
“Our highly automated facilities are equipped to manufacture customized tyre solutions for Indian customers,” said Dyutiman Chattopadhyay, Chief Technology Officer at Yokohama-ATG, during the launch presentation.
Market Positioning
Anuj Thakar, Senior Vice President for India and SAARC at Yokohama-ATG, emphasized the strategic importance of the Indian market. “Our presence at Excon reflects our commitment to customers in the region as we continue to provide tyre solutions for varied construction needs,” he stated.
The company’s exhibition extends beyond the new launches to include seven additional products spanning mining, material handling, and construction applications.
These include the Mine Rock-XT dual-purpose tyre with nylon casing, the puncture-resistant HULK skid steer tyre, and the LHD 510 SDS featuring compound technology designed to resist chipping and reduce heat generation.
Industry Context
Galaxy’s product expansion aligns with India’s infrastructure development trajectory. The company manufactures its tyres in Indian facilities and has positioned itself to serve domestic construction and mining operations with application-specific designs.
The CII Excon 2025 trade show, operating under the theme “Accelerating Growth, Building Tomorrow,” provides Galaxy access to equipment manufacturers and contractors evaluating tyre solutions for their fleets.
Galaxy operates under Yokohama-ATG’s off-highway division, serving agricultural, industrial, and construction segments globally.
The brand has maintained manufacturing operations in India while distributing products internationally.
