China Communication Construction(CCCC) has signed more than US$10 billion worth of deals at the recent Beijing summit-forum of china-Africa cooperation, Yicai Global reports.
A statement from CCCC says that managers of the Chinese firm met with 39 African leaders where they discussed issues around railroads, highways and ports construction.
China has an ambitious project plan named One Belt One Road that aims to connect multiple continents via roads, rails, pipes and seas. Devised by President Xi Jinping in 2013, the vast project seeks to allow China to reach foreign land and further expand its market.
China Communication Construction(CCCC) has a huge presence in Africa with huge projects either underway or completed. In Kenya, the firm has secured a deal to construct an oil terminal at the port of Mombasa.
The same firm is tasked with running the $3.8 billion Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) in Kenya through its subsidiary China Road and Bridge Corporation.
