Kings Developers an affiliate of Royal Group of Companies has unveiled a 34-storey steel and glass building which many observers say could be Nairobi’s most beautiful skyscraper.

Known as the Prism Tower the structure is designed to appear as prisms stacked upon one another.

The tower incorporates a range of environment-friendly systems that include a rain-harvesting to conserve water for watering the surrounding landscape, says Kings vice president for sales and marketing Vinayak Karambalkar.

Security has been given top priority as every person and vehicle entering Prism is subjected to rigorous checks before being allowed access to the building. Every visitor is registered and screened by a metal detector.

Large windows make the most of the available natural light, reducing lighting costs and unnecessary energy consumption.

Every office has been designed to give you the maximum column-free space to maximize space efficiency, while the generous floor-to-floor height enhances the ambience.

Mr Vinayak says that the inspiration for the Prism Tower was hatched to match the beutiful scenery of Nairobi.

‘The concept of Jewel is the inspiration for design and architecture behind the making of this iconic tower. Across the region as a tribute to this magnificent city, the building profile has been designed to appear as Prisms stacked upon Prisms.”

Prism Tower is located on 3rd Ngong Road Avenue in Upperhill an area that has seen the rise of multi-million dollar skyscrapers targeting large organisations.

The area is set to host the tallest building in Africa, the Pinnacle, sometimes in 2019.
