Sinoma Roofing Systems Company Limited has launched operations in Kenya, introducing a new player to the roofing materials industry a move expected to spark competition among existing manufacturers.
The company is a subsidiary of Material Group Co Ltd. (CNBM) with factories from in China, Nigeria, Philippines and now in Kenya.
In Kenya, CNBM is investing 1.5Billion Kshs to build the new factory in Machakos County near the capital Nairobi.
Yearly production will hover around2,000,000 square meters of STONE COATED TILES, with the newest technology of automatic production line to make sure the production is high standard.
China National Building Material Group Co., Ltd. (CNBM) was founded through the merger of the China National Building Materials Group Corporation and China National Materials Group Corporation.
Having integrated its scientific research, manufacturing and logistics, CNBM is the largest manufacturer for building materials and an integrated service provider leading throughout the world. It has been listed in the Fortune Global 500 for eleven consecutive years.
The plant aims to bolster manufacturing standards in Kenya, create job opportunities, and provide reliable, cost-effective roofing products across the East African Community, said Wu Shuang, General Manager of Sinoma.
“The company integrates the production and sales of roofing materials, industrial engineering services, and steel structure fabrications.
It boasts Kenya’s largest coloured stone-coated roofing tiles and mabati manufacturing plant, along with a state-of-the-art product laboratory,” Shuang explained.
