A significant technical failure at Cloudflare, a leading provider of content delivery and security services, triggered a massive internet disruption today, highlighting the fragility of the modern web’s underlying architecture.
The outage, which began in the late morning, brought down services including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Perplexity AI, Discord, and numerous other platforms that rely on Cloudflare’s network.

Downdetector, a service that tracks online outages, showed massive spikes in reports for affected services, confirming the problem was widespread.
