Established in 1982 by Mr Harji Raghwani, Structural Construction International Co. Ltd has grown from a small family-owned Company handling small projects, into a multi-disciplinary organization offering in-house construction capabilities through a team of trained professionals.
“The company’s headquarters initially were located at Buruburu estate off Rabai road and later transferred to Masai road off Mombasa road,” reminisces Mr Harji Raghwani who continues to guide the firm to success.
“From the beginning, our clients showed confidence in the business and, given my background working in the construction industry the firm started with the best foot forward.”
Despite the challenging reverse business climate in the early 1980s due to the political unrest in Kenya, Structural Construction Co. Ltd weathered the storm and emerged more motivated than ever before; leveraging the reliable local team gathered over this decade to take part in the construction boom which followed in the late 1990s.
The company has over the years morphed and diversified to its current stature. By utilising a combination of extensive in-house resources, local knowledge and technical expertise, Structural Construction International Co. Ltd offers nothing short of innovative and complete construction solutions to customers.
With a reputation for reliability and exceptional service delivery, the firm is commonly the first port of call in challenging environments such as flooding, structural or embankment failures. By being able to understand its clients’ constraints, as well as their desired outcome, it is little surprise that the company has gone on to be responsible for the planning and reactive maintenance of many of the UK’s busiest roads.
And it is not in Kenya where the company has foot print; Structural Construction International Co Ltd has an office in Uganda as it seeks to go regional. In Kenya the firm has a number of ongoing and completed projects. Completed projects include residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Currently, the firm is completing a huge Industrial park in Nairobi in the fast growing industrial area at Ruaraka.

The two warehouses are uniquely designed in such a way that, each warehouse will have 3 parking spaces, with additional parking spaces for visitors; plus the site has wide roads (18-16m) turning radius for all vehicle types. All warehouses come installed with a 3 tonne capacity goods hoist and Aluminum windows with burglar proofing and provisions for intruder alarms.
The park is an architectural masterpiece with good quality finishing and internal features that include: class 25 concrete floors with Power float finish, male and female toilets on all floors and a Kitchenette on ground floor.
Moreover, the development has excellent natural lighting for the day time and LED light fittings for night time to save on operational costs for the users; plus plenty of power sockets with provisions for further expansion.
In addition, the Park have the following interior features: cross ventilation that will reduce the requirements for air conditioners and day time lighting; excellent security features such as electric fencing throughout the boundary wall, 24 hours CCTV surveillance, 24 hours armed police patrol and security check points at all entry & exit points.
Utilising its in-house complete support service offering, Structural Construction Co. Ltd was the main contractor responsible for all aspects of the build construction and project management, right through to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, steel works, engineering and even the air conditioning requirements.
The company has also successfully carried out projects in Uganda such as New tannery, Alhamed hide & skins in Kampala, extension of warehouse, flats and workshop in Kampala.
Yet the firm’s success story emanates from more than just the volume of projects under their belt.
