Procore Bolsters AI Ambitions with Datagrid Acquisition

EVENTS SPOTLIGHT

Procore Technologies, a leading provider of construction management software, has completed the acquisition of Datagrid, a specialist in agentic artificial intelligence designed for the construction sector.

The transaction, announced this week, marks a significant step in Procore’s strategy to embed more advanced AI and data-driven capabilities across its platform.

Datagrid’s technology connects disparate sources of construction data — from project drawings and schedules to ERP systems and cloud repositories — and applies AI reasoning to automate complex tasks.

Procore says this enables workflows such as autonomous submittal reviews and the drafting of requests for information (RFIs) across systems, helping eliminate data silos that have long challenged the industry.

Steve Davis, Procore’s President of Product & Technology, described the union of the two companies as “transformative,” adding that integrating Datagrid’s capabilities will allow customers to bridge gaps between isolated data sets and unlock actionable insights at scale.

Datagrid’s CEO, Thiago da Costa, will join Procore to lead AI and data strategy efforts. “Our focus has always been on building an AI that can execute, not just talk,” da Costa said in the announcement, highlighting the platform’s focus on real-world automation over simple generative features.

Under the deal, completed in January 2026, Datagrid’s tools will be made available to both Procore users and customers outside the Procore ecosystem.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
