Countdown Begins: Steinexpo 2026 Reveals Demo Layouts and Stand Planning

EVENTS SPOTLIGHT

The countdown to Steinexpo 2026 has officially begun. On December 4, 2025, representatives from Geoplan GmbH and participating exhibitors convened for a critical coordination meeting at the Nieder-Ofleiden quarry in Hesse.

Notably, this year’s meeting was held four months earlier than usual, marking a historic first for the trade fair and ensuring optimal planning for all involved.

On-Site Planning in Action

During the meeting, trade fair director Dominik Rese, outdoor areas coordinator Marc Vogelsberger, and technical director Tajan Tudeshki provided exhibitors with updates on the progress of the General Demo.

Attendees also had the opportunity to inspect their future stand areas, take final measurements, and refine their exhibition plans—ensuring that each presentation will run smoothly during the live event.

The Heart of the Demonstrations

A major highlight of Steinexpo has always been its XXL General Demos, and 2026 will be no exception.

Covering 14,000 m², these choreographed demonstrations combine loading, transport, and special machinery in a way that is both visually spectacular and practically relevant.

The initial schedule has already revealed which machines will operate together and at what times on specific trade fair days, allowing for precise coordination between exhibitors. “Everyone involved shares the anticipation of these one-of-a-kind demonstrations,” says Rese.

Exhibit Areas and Layout

The current layout divides the site into four distinct Demo Areas:

  • Demo Area A: Hosts the General Demo along with numerous construction machinery manufacturers and suppliers.

  • Demo Area B: Focused primarily on processing technology.

  • Demo Area C: Features top construction machinery brands and matching accessory providers at the quarry’s highest point.

  • Demo Area D: Houses the trade fair entrance and both large pavilions for indoor exhibits.

This early planning enables exhibitors to optimize their presentations, coordinate machine exchanges, and adjust demo schedules to maximize public engagement. For companies that have not yet registered, spaces are still available—but the window is closing.

Collaboration and Innovation Take Center Stage

Steinexpo’s success relies on cooperation among exhibitors, organizers, and industry stakeholders. A key attraction will be “Quarry Vision 2.6,” showcasing innovative technologies—from prototypes to market-ready products—alongside user-assistance systems for machinery and plant engineering.

In line with this, the “Think BIG!” initiative by VDMA will inspire young people to pursue technical careers and study programs, connecting the next generation of skilled workers with cutting-edge machinery.

“Through this collaboration, we can look forward to a promising future and a successful Steinexpo 2026,” Rese concludes confidently.

With the demo layouts finalized and exhibitor stand planning underway, the stage is set for what promises to be Europe’s largest and most meticulously coordinated construction machinery demonstration.
